Withers meets Art Lisa Ponti in dialogue with Gio Ponti and Francesco Vezzoli
To mark the opening of the Withers law firm's new Milan office in 2018, That's Contemporary curated an exhibition through a journey that takes inspiration from the firm's values to the identification of artistic practices capable of reflecting them.
The project Withers Meets Art: Lisa Ponti in Dialogue with Gio Ponti and Francesco Vezzoli is the first corporate project of That's Contemporary born as part of the support of Funder35 and from the invitation to collaborate by London Trade Art. In collaboration with Federico Vavassori Gallery, the working group is launching a series of exhibitions promoted and supported by Withers Law Firm at its new headquarters in Via Durini, Milan.
The Withers Meets Art: Lisa Ponti in Dialogue with Gio Ponti and Francesco Vezzoli project aims to offer a visual representation of the company's values through an exhibition dedicated to artist Lisa Ponti. The fulcrum of the exhibition are 33 A4 drawings created over time by Lisa, in dialogue with a pictorial work by her famous father Gio Ponti, "The Twins," and a sculptural work, "Portrait of Sophia Loren as the Muse of Antiquity (After Giorgio de Chirico)" by one of the most important Italian artists internationally, Francesco Vezzoli.
The project and catalog are curated by Martina Grendene, Giulia Restifo and Jessica Tanghetti, with a text by Luca Lo Pinto.
