VIA DELLA SPIGA An experience between art and history, from 1873 to 2021.
New experience discovering the artistic and architectural history of Via della Spiga, with a visit to two contemporary art exhibitions and an aperitif in a private courtyard.
A late May evening to reread Via della Spiga, commonly known as part of the Fashion Quadrilateral. During the experience, we delved into its
enduring with art, starting from the creation of the Famiglia Artistica Milanese in 1873, to the current interventions of cultural regeneration and contemporary art, such as the Art Takes Over (ATO) project, which opens up empty spaces to installations by female artists, which can always be visited from shop windows.
Accompanying us in an intra secolorum and multidisciplinary experience: Maria Vittoria Capitanucci, architectural historian; Matteo Bay, whose family has been on the street
for generations, and Nicole Saikalis, ATO project manager.
Enriching the experience was a visit to the "Transformation" project, two solo exhibitions by Monica Bonvicini and Ariel Schlesinger, from inside the boutiques, which are generally not open to the public. At the end of the tour to welcome us an aperitif inside a private courtyard on Via della Spiga.
