THE MEMORY OF THE AIR

Curated by Gabi Scardi and proposed by AFOL Metropolitana, The Memory of the Air was born from the encounter between a duo of Italian artists, Chiaralice Rizzi and Alessandro Laita, with the photographic archive of the Marubi Museum in Shkodra (Albania), which is an almost unique example in Europe for the quality and importance of its archive.

The project aims to create a collection of narratives from the authors' photos in the photo library and stored in the homes of families in Shkodra and Tirana. Before flowing to the destination museum, the work will be presented at the Marubi Museum, CFP Bauer School and MuFoCo accompanied by seminars, workshops with students and in-depth talks on the topic of the value of archives.
