Artists' House Artistic residence in the center of Milan
Since December, That's has been a member of the ATS awarded the tender for the concession for the use of Casa degli Artisti, Corso Garibaldi 89/A via Tommaso da Cazzaniga, in Milan.
House of Artists is artistic residence focused on research, production and enjoyment of art open to the city.
With the same destination since the early 1900s when patrons the Bogani brothers founded "the painters' ca'," it is still a place intended for the work of art that supports the practice of women artists, cultural workers and practitioners in the visual, performing, sound and digital arts and in general in every field of art.
Each year the House initiates residential pathways, divided into:
. invited residencies for meed-career and established artists or whose project timely responds to the House's specific interest in the community
. residencies on open call, the most popular form of access to the House, for emerging and beginning artistsə or those who want to experiment with new practices in a protected and dedicated environment in the centuries to do so.
. support residencies short productive support residency for artistə and art collectives in need of a space in Milan
. special project companies and individuals who wish to experience a specific artistic-cultural project in collaboration with the House.
All residencies at the house are unrestricted by age, nationality and discipline.
With 1250 square meters on three floors, 11 ateliers for the work of female artists, a ground-floor exhibition space open to the public, a bistro, and an outdoor space overlooking the green space, Artists' House works as a place of connections to foster exchange between different actors in art, society, and business and to stimulate a dialogue on the public sphere and urban space.
